The Optimized Cluster

Fourth Year Studio - Semester Abroad at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia

The proposed development transforms an unused plot of land in Barcelona into a mixed-use urban space. By blending retail, restaurants, a hotel, offices, and a viewpoint, the design creates a vibrant destination that serves as a refuge for both locals and tourists coming from the iconic Parc Guell. The project is driven by a parametric design methodology using Grasshopper and Galapagos, allowing for optimized spatial organization and tree preservation.
